Elements Exhibit
Artisans International Gallery will present an exhibit of work by local area artists beginning May 6th. The exhibit and sale offers the theme “Elements”
“The theme of Elements is meant to inspire all kinds of media choices. You can think of the elements in terms of representing your work as earth, wind, fire, and water or by using earth, wind, fire, and water as your materials, ”, states Bronwyn Mason, owner of Artisans International Gallery. “The theme has great appeal to many viewers as it is a way to excite more than one of our senses.” An artist reception will be held on May 10th from 3:00 to 5:00pm at Artisans International Gallery where many of the artists will be present to discuss their work. The exhibit will run through June 28th.
The gallery is located in Minden Village at 1653 Lucerne Street, Suite B. Minden Village is located ½ mile south of Highway 88 on the east side of Hwy 395. Call the gallery at 775 783-8881 for store hours and directions.

East Fork Gallery
2nd Saturday Event
Never happy with working in just one medium, Helen Martin has painted everything from tiny greeting cards to a huge sun face on an outdoor wall. Her current “canvas” is the old house that she and her husband are slowly renovating. Projects like the “rock” backsplash in the kitchen and transforming the walls in the guest bath into “old barn wood” have kept her busy.
On May 10th, at the East Fork Gallery’s Second Saturday event, Helen will be showing how she has created these images. It’s going to be big and messy and lots of fun. Come by the gallery 1-3pm. Refreshments will be served. Call 782-7629 for more information.
